We recently developed an updated logo for Villa Carao, a luxury beach retreat in Costa Rica. Before beginning the design, we researched the surrounding area, Costa Rican coastal imagery, local influences, and color palettes that would reflect both the natural setting and the elevated guest experience. We selected a sophisticated blue and gold combination to convey the ocean, tranquility, warmth, and understated luxury.
The final design centers around a stylized conch shell, creating a distinctive visual connection to the beach while maintaining a clean, elegant appearance. The logo was built as a vector in Adobe Illustrator, allowing it to remain sharp and consistent across business cards, the website, brochures, signage, promotional materials, and other branded applications.
