Located in the West Plains of Texas, and operating since 1969, Riley Built and owns 17 U.S. Patents & International Patents on hoof trimming equipment and sells to customers around the world. Viewed as a leader in the hoof trimming industry, it was important that we made their website and products easy to find via search engines, pay-per-click ads, social media and video.
As usual, the best place to start was with the SEM Analysis. We researched and analyzed the top performing industry keywords and websites. The client website was rebuilt, targeting the most popular keywords. Once the site was built we performed various link building and article distribution services. After a few months, we had the site ranking #1 on Google for their most searched for keywords.
In addition to the organic ranking of the website, we setup their YouTube channel, loaded videos and were able to rank those videos organically near the top of the engines. We also setup PPC campaigns with Google Adwords to gather additional leads from the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico and Australia.
Services: SEM Analysis, Site Optimization, Local Listings, Domain Name Migration, Link Building, Article Distribution
Prime Properties is a property management company located in Austin, Texas. We built their website for them, but had never been in charge of any of the online marketing efforts, which up to this point had primarily been PPC. We knew that the html code was search engine friendly and loosely optimized for their main keywords. We decided it was time for a full SEM Analysis.
We went back over the client website and competitor sites, narrowing down our list of the most important keywords. After performing our keyword analysis, we had our completed list. We began tightening the optimization of the pages, linking structure, titles and file names.
“Shores Media is a great bunch to work with. These guys helped us to craft a great web site and achieve a high degree of Search Engine Optimization within our industry. All of this equates to major value! I highly recommend using their services.”
– Larry Parks, General Partner, Prime Partners, LLP
While working on the site optimization, it came to our attention that the domain name austinpropertymanagement.com was for sale. This name contained our client’s most searched for keyphrase and had an existing registration life of over ten (10) years. The term “austin property management” also best described our client’s service. After consulting with our client, it was clear that purchasing the domain name was a wise decision.
Once the domain name was purchased, we used Google’s domain transfer process to move the newly optimized site over to the new domain name. existing sitter to the new domain. We further researched transfer strategies to ensure current rankings and inbound links were not lost. Wanting to be sure we didn’t run into any unknown issues, we consulted with a prominent SEO expert who had written an article specifically on this process.
After completing the domain name migration and performing various article distribution services, we were able to move them from a #8 organic listing to a #1 organic listing. We also helped them optimize their Google business page, reaching a #1 listing.
Services: Database Migration, Design Makeover, Job Board, Comparison Tools, Mobile Development
The existing LAA site was built in Classic ASP. With the amount of new work needed, we had to determine whether it was better to continue building in Classic ASP or completely rebuild the site in ASP.NET/C#, our preferred programming language, which has many advantages over the older Classic ASP. We assessed that the site should stay in ASP, because of the large amount of preexisting functional code. It was not cost nor time effective to rebuild at this stage. We suggested a minor overhaul of the ASP code to speed up performance. We also advise that the existing data that was stored in multiple Access databases be migrated into one SQL Server database.
The first phase of development for the LAA site included an updated look and the addition of some new search and display tools. We changed the color scheme, expanded the navigation area and switched to a wider, more current site width. After consulting with a professional website user experience company, a new search and display flow was built. Some of the new features included: community slideshow, flash advertising, rotating member advertisements, job board, save to favorites, and community amenities comparison tool.
After the new and improved website was launched, LAA received awards from both the local Chamber of Commerce and from the National Apartment Association.
Additional features added to the site include: 3 levels of featured communities, condensed dynamic community details, sponsored listing feature, and light box video and virtual tour popups.
“I have trusted Shores Media for over 9 years to create the online vision for the companies I have worked with. When LubbockApartments.com decided to modernize our website and add features like sharing for social media, a fully integrated career center, buyers guide with web shots and more, we knew they were the best company for the job. Their design knowledge, programming expertise, and service pricing are the best I’ve seen in the entire industry.
The site that they redesigned for us went on to win local and national awards from the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and the National Apartment Association. Shores Media has been and will continue to be the best of the best website development companies out there.”
– Samantha Hoover – Lubbock Apartment Association

Overview: The Diocese of Des Moines needed a custom progress report application for their school district. When we started the interview to determine requirements we found all the schools, a total of 18, were using completely different processes.
Services: .Net Development, SQL Server, Application Scheme, Telerick Integration, Crystal Reports
The first step was to get everyone on the same page. The school held several meetings with principals and staff and gave us a good idea of their general requirements. We then worked closely with a few core people from the Diocese to finalize the design. After we went over their requirements and an additional few rounds of talks we came up with a fairly open schema as the foundation of the application. It was clear from the start that this application would evolve over time as we guided the staff to understand the possibilities of a web based application. We chose a backend of SQL Server and built our UI with ASP.NET/C#. Additionally we used a reporting package from Telerik to generate the progress reports in PDF format that are then printed and sent home with the student. We are currently discussing adding features such as parental access to allow a parent to view the progress report online and various import and export tools.
This application has several school years behind it and the teachers and principals are liking the time savings more and more. Since the first release in 2008 we have added many features suggested by the Diocese staff that have helped them streamline the whole process further. In the end we have helped cut down a weeks long process to one or two days.
Services: Logo Design, Magento Ecommerce, Facebook Advertising, Pay-Per-Click Management, Email Marketing

After deciding on an ecommerce platform it was time to build the site. We found that it would be less time consuming to have the client fill out a spreadsheet of product categories and subcategory and have us import that rather than build it through the administration panel. We then trained them at their location on how to edit photos, insert products, descriptions, etc.
Once the ecommerce site was up and running and as our client was adding products, it was time to work on the design. We started off by building their logo design. We started with sketches, made a few mockups and then made the final logo in vector via Adobe Illustrator. The logo would be used on caps, shirts and signs in addition to the website. We then built a custom template for the site using a color scheme suggested by the client.
After the site was tested and approved for launch, it was time for the online marketing side. We knew that achieving decent organic ranking would take a little time with a new site, especially with the amount of national competition in their industry. We did keyword and competition analysis to define the best key phrases to target based on volume of searches, competitiveness and profit margin. After doing this, we built a Google pay per click campaign targeting those keywords.
“When we made the decision to have an online store we didn’t know where to begin. We started looking at other websites we liked and found out who had built those sites. That is how we came across Lubbock Internet. Cody and his staff jumped right in and provided the solution to what we needed to build and operate our online store.
They designed the logo for our branding as well. We could not be more pleased. It far exceeded our expectations! The whole team is great to work with, when there is a problem, which is very rare, or when we have a question, which is very frequent, they get right on it and things are taken care of.”
